Questions and Answers Concerning University Investments and the Ongoing Violence in Gaza and Israel (2023):

Q:聽What is the overall LTIP exposure to Israel-related companies in general?
A:聽0.2% (one-fifth of one percent) of the LTIP.

Q:聽Had any other LTIP holdings been identified as possibly doing business with the Israeli government or military?

Q:聽Does the LTIP have exposure to any of the following companies, which have been flagged for potential concern in some of the comments received or related discussion, due to dealings in Israel that may be connected to activities involving military operations or occupation (as through supplying military hardware, surveillance technologies, or equipment used in housing demolitions or construction in occupied territories that is in violation of international law):

A:聽The LTIP exposure amounts to less than $259,000 in total to eight of the fifteen companies.聽 These are mostly held in bond managers鈥 pooled funds.聽 The EIAC asked the Investment Office to draft a letter to the LTIP investment managers who are invested in those eight companies, expressing the EIAC鈥檚 concerns about their ties to Israel and its desire to eliminate exposure to them. The letter was drafted by the Investment Office, in collaboration with EIAC Chairperson FitzPatrick, then sent to the relevant investment managers.
