How can I come to Rochester?

Your department or faculty host will reach out to us to initiate the Global Visitor Program. You can discuss with them to ensure they initiate the process directly.

After that, we鈥檒l reach out to you directly. We鈥檒l walk you through the onboarding process, including helping you obtain the appropriate visa.

For faculty or post-doc appointments

Each school within the 人妻少妇专区 has specific appointment procedures for visiting faculty and post-docs, and the International Services Office will refer these cases appropriately.

For those unsure how they will be categorized

We鈥檒l be in touch to help you through the process鈥攔egardless of how you鈥檙e categorized.

We鈥檒l evaluate the purpose of your visit and the relationship you maintain with the University to determine whether you鈥檒l be enrolled as a non-matriculated student or appointed in one of the schools in one of several visiting categories (i.e. faculty, post-doc, etc.).

Timeline

For international visitors, it can take six months鈥攕ometimes longer鈥攖o formally complete the Global Visitor Program application. Because of the multiple Rochester and government offices involved, we recommend you work with your potential department or host as early as possible to ensure the process is initiated in time.
