FRINGE FESTIVAL High-Flying Debut

AERIAL DANCE: For five days in September, Rochester鈥檚 performing and visual arts scene took on a new facet, with the launch of the first First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival. With almost 200 performances鈥攊ncluding an excerpt of 鈥淏ound(less),鈥 a large-scale, vertical dance performance by the group Bandaloop鈥攖he festival drew an audience of more than 33,000. Theater producer Erica Fee 鈥98 returned from London to lead the effort to create a fringe festival in Rochester, and the University sponsored and supported about 30 shows.
