The cup has found a home.
In December 2016, a friend gave David Skonieczki 鈥71 a 1953 人妻少妇专区 Psi Upsilon fraternity cup with the word LOOSE imprinted on the side.
鈥淗e found the cup while cleaning out his parents鈥 home in Salisbury, Massachusetts, and knew I had gone to UR,鈥 says Skonieczki, who lives in Hampton, New Hampshire. 鈥淗e wanted me to have it. But I wondered who it belonged to.鈥

Skonieczki contacted Rochester Review, which ran a note in the July 2017 issue. Donald Brady 鈥55, a former Psi Upsilon member, read the story and remembered that 鈥淟oose鈥 was a nickname for fraternity brother Robert Lohnes 鈥54. 鈥淟oose was a character and very unique,鈥 Brady says. 鈥淗e was a happy-go-lucky, funny guy. I knew the mug was his.鈥
Lohnes had died in early December 2016鈥攖he same week Skonieczki had been given the cup. Review reached out to Lohnes鈥檚 family via Facebook Messenger and connected his daughter, Amy Fairchild, with Skonieczki.
鈥淒avid and I had a great conversation on the phone,鈥 says Fairchild, who lives in Lancaster, Kentucky. 鈥淚 feel like I鈥檝e made a new friend.鈥
No one knows how the cup wound up in a house in Massachusetts, but it鈥檚 back home in Kentucky. Skonieczki mailed the mug to Fairchild, and it sits in her office鈥攁 reminder of a mystery solved.
鈥淚 know Dad would have loved this,鈥 Fairchild says.
